Variations

Part 1: By tracing and overlapping lines of details found in various captures of architectural elements, a dense entanglement of lines is created. Now within this entanglement of lines – through many trials and errors – several three dimensional shapes are configured. The shapes will have an architectural/spatial character and will be composed out of some but not all the lines that exist in the overlapped drawing.

Part 2: Based on the findings and the abstract design throughout Part 1 as well as through the usage of Space-Defining Elements, now a spatial exhibition is created that reflects best the following expression:   “The Pathway from Imprisonment to Freedom.”
